laser-cut art + architecture

smArchitecture partner Dr. Thomas Modeen is running a blog for his Kuwait and London based research and design firm. Modeen states that the company’s “current interest involves the use of various computing based design methods and tools in the realization of physical builds (using both subtractive and additive CAD-CAM methods).” That means lots of laser-cutting and 3D printing. He sent over some links with more than a few remarkable projects. Thanks Dr. Modeen!

there are some amazingly delicate use of laser cutting in these images, really lovely and feminine for an architectural application.

Thanks for sharing Kristen
