You & Me - Eternal Love

I would like to introduce to you the sculpture »You & Me« from the »Scrappies« figurine family. It represents love, affection and mutual commitment - emotions that everyone values and never lose their significance.

The »Scrappies« are inspired by everything you can find in a scrapyard: old nuts and bolts, tin cans, pipes, coils, parts of ball bearings.

But they are actually manufactured in a totally different, novel »3D printing« process. Each of them is made in one piece from fine metal powders.

I had initially made the »You & Me« sculpture as a unique gift for our 30th wedding anniversary, but when my wife placed the Scrappies on her office desk, her collegues loved them so much that we thought why not share it and make it available to others.

Therefore, and for a limited time, I am offering you my work here, outside of the traditional channels of exhibiting and selling art. Each figurine will be customized with your initials of choice.

See the details on http://igg.me/p/74489?a=541857<br></br><img alt="C_showroom_image" src="http://static3.ponoko.com/design_images/images/32108/215be268-a51c-1cdb-6364-5d495f4d0b7d/c_showroom_image.jpg?1334148587" />

3D Photo Relief - full-color Cameo

Turn any picture -a portrait, wedding photo, children, your pet- into an amazing 3D cameo relief.

Watch the videos:
    http://youtu.be/n6i2rOuUWV0
    http://youtu.be/BIWl82WMp0c

This is how it works:

   http://wetransfer.com/?to=%63%6f%6e%74%61%63%74%40%74%72%6f%6d%70%65%2e%6e%6c

2- A 3D-artist will reconstruct the 3D depth information from the picture. For best results, the conversion is driven and controlled by a real person. If anything is unclear or in doubtdoubt, the artist will always contact you for clarification.

3- The 3D-converted picture will be prepared for 3D-printing, sent to the printing machine and delivered to you.

The manual conversion by a 3D artist is best suitable for portrait photos person or a pet.

Impossible Penrose triangle

The "impossible" tribar, also known as the Penrose triangle. This fantastic optical illusion has now been made possible through 3D printing. We have further enhanced the illusion by breaking it into cubes and added the dots of a die.

Watch the video:
    http://youtu.be/1HAqORTBSV0

A truly three-dimensional object, only made possible with a very special design trick. Please be aware that unlike other attempts to create a Penrose triangle, this model does not have any hidden openings nor hidden twists.

The model is 7.5" (19 cm) high and will come with a matching stand.<br></br><img alt="I3_showroom_image" src="http://static2.ponoko.com/design_images/images/32108/ca1d0a0f-948f-636d-c10b-d799cd5728ff/i3_showroom_image.jpg?1314893367" />

Uncle Sam - hollow face illusion

Featuring the world-famous Uncle Sam recruiting poster as hollow face illusion. The mask can be stood up in a window and the whole face seems to follow you as you move around.

Watch the video: http://youtu.be/UaqLyWnZ3jE

How does this amazing illusion work? Since our brain 'knows' that a face has to be convex, not concave, it will re-interpret the visual impression accordingly. When we move in front of the hollow image, the hollow face will move opposite to a convex one. While our brain cannot accept the face as concave, it has to interpret the visual perception differently and the only reasonable interpretation is that the face follows our movements.
