Día de los Muertos Pendant

This pendant is inspired by the sugar skulls created for the Latin American holidays El Día de los Muertos also known as Days of the Dead. Calavera—the skull or skeleton—is the number one symbol for the Days of the Dead. It's not presented to terrorize. Instead, the calavera represents the playfulness of the Dead, as they mimic the Living and frolic amongst us. Instead of sugar I've used a semi transparent frosted white acyclic and instead of icing I've hand painted glitter on the face of the skull. Each skull measures 5cm at both it's longest and widest. Each pendant comes on a 60cm long silver chain, this can be lengthened or shortened on request, or swapped for a velvet choker.

I've always loved seahorses and since summer to me = beach, i thought I would play around with some fanciful beach creatures. I've chosen the tinted blue acrylic for the material as it has this great transparent sea effect. rastering on the tinted acrylic creates a great dimension and really nice effect of movement and the waves. plus now you have see though parts of the pendant and some non see through. this is a pendant, designed to be worn a lot. I'm selling this pendant at a special price of $17 including post and packaging until Christmas. Size: 2.5 inches long 1.5 inches wide (this is at the head which is at it's very widest)
