Analog meets digital. I'm fascinated by how fast and precise lasercutting technology can be, and wanted to confront it with an age-old craft technique such as cross-stitching, especially considering how cross-stitch charts are similar to pixelized images. This design is a blend of digital imagery and textured embroidery. The styrene is cut with tiny holes that can be used to embroider a motif, partially or entirely. The cross stitch chart and floss is supplied along with the lasercut piece to let you finish your necklace to your liking.
The styrene is soft enough to be trimmed with scissors if you want a smaller necklace, or just part of the design.
