The enclosure the kit comes with is a beautiful laser-cut and -etched black acyrlic, which is sadly highly prone to breakage if the clock is to be transported often, or sometimes makes unexpected trips off the dresser. Thus, this enclosure is made from somewhat less pretty but far more forgiving black delrin.
