About the design and production process: Each piece starts its life as a sketch on paper, then is modelled digitally and cut by laser beam, before finally being assembled into a truly unique piece. During my PhD research, I have discovered that science can be surprisingly beautiful- single cells viewed under a microscope, intricate networks of cells important for learning and memory, and even the curving structure of the brain itself.
