Tree of Life Necklace

By popular demand, I have developed a necklace version of the tree of life window pendant. This version is less fragile and hangs in front of a black acrylic egg. The egg extends a few millimeters beyond the edge of the amber bamboo egg. The fractal tree was inspired by a pattern discovered by doctors to promote skin growth . The tree-and-egg design is truly a picture of life. Hangs on a 24" sterling silver chain with a lobster clasp. Pendant is about 3.5" tall.

Inspired by explosions and comic books, this bamboo pendant speaks of excitement and danger while appearing graceful, modern, and elegant. The pendant is made from 3mm amber bamboo and is about 2" in diameter. Hangs on a sterling silver chain with a lobster clasp.

Pick-a-Pair Fruit Salad Earrings

Pick apples. Pick tomatoes. Pick a pair of earrings. Go wild: choose two different fruits in the same color or two of the same fruit in different colors. Or stick with the trusted original and select a matching pair. Each piece is approximately 1.25 inches in diameter and hangs parallel to the ear from a sterling silver french wire hook. And you thought art was just for the walls... now it can hang in your window, too! This intricate fractal-inspired tree-like design was actually inspired by a medical paper about optimal shapes to promote the growth of skin. Perhaps we aren't so different from trees after all. Cut from 3mm bamboo, this piece hangs from a 24" silver-plated chain either from your window sash or from a suction cup (included).... or just about anywhere! Just be careful, the branches are delicate. Total height is approximately 3 1/2".

These pieces were conceived to hang in windows (either from the sash or a suction cup) and work with the sunlight to yield interesting silhouettes and shadows. By bringing focus to the window and its light, window art also helps bring the outdoors in. There are 6 designs, all showing people literally hanging from a chain. When they hang in the window, you can close one eye and see them hanging in your yard or from your neighbor's house. They add a little cheer to even the bleakest view. Birdie TV Necklace

This adorable necklace is made from a layer of 5mm clear acrylic sandwiched between two pieces of laser cut aluminum on a sterling chain. It depicts a cat watching birds through a window as they twitter on the branches of a tree. Wear it facing one way and you are looking into the window, turn it around and you are looking out. As you move around the piece your view through the window changes, giving it an incredible sense of depth despite the fact that it is made from flat pieces. Pendant is 1 1/2” (+1/4” at the sill) by 2 1/4” and 6.8mm thick. Hangs on a sterling silver chain with a sterling silver lobster clasp and findings. Necklace is approximately 16” in total.

Peapod Stool

Designed using concentric cuts to minimize waste and fit perfectly onto Ponoko's sheet sizes, the Peapod Stool uses laser-cut 10mm material to create a shape that breaks out of the literal box that seems to constrain so much laser-cut furniture. Goes together with no hardware and works as a small table, as well. I'm working on the second prototype now. When the design is complete I'll also include a cushion.

Hummingbird Hoops

Spring has sprung, and the hummingbirds are in buzzing the desert air. Each pair of earrings is cut from a single disk of plastic, making these some of the most material-efficient earrings you will find, and creating a wonderful play on the positive and negative space. The two hummingbirds are suspended within the larger rings so they rotate when suspended from your ears. The earrings are different sizes because they originally fit inside each other, adding an extra dynamism and drawings attention to the sustainable efficiency of this design. Ear wires and connecting wires are all sterling silver.

This pendant was inspired by japanese nature prints. It depicts a close up view of overlapping branches with budding leaves. Black acrylic on a 16" sterling silver chain with a lobster clasp. Champagne Bubbles Necklace

Composed of a layer of .9mm aluminum, a layer of 3mm tinted gray acrylic, and another layer of aluminum on a sterling silver chain, this necklace brings to mind bubbles mingling at the top of a glass of champagne. The three layers create a sense of depth and detail that is not always apparent upon first glance, but betrays itself as the wearer moves and the necklace catches the light. The bubbles section is approximately 3.5" by 1.5". The total length is about 18", but can be made a little shorter or longer at your request. Necklace secures with a small lobster clasp.
