Since the original release of the ScanDock, I've received confirmation from many people about success using the ScanDock with other camera phones, or point and shoot cameras. This is a replacement/upgrade platen for the Sola Technical digital camera book scanner platform. This version is cut from a single piece of acrylic and formed, instead of being glued from separate pieces like the one included in the V1 kit (the current V3 already includes this).

A lightweight and inexpensive basic book scanner that will get you started in digitizing books or other bound print media. This item comes flat-packed ready for you to assemble. No tools required. All hardware is designed to be hand tightened. You will need the following additional hardware: For assembly and allowing the slides to work 8 1/4"x20 1" long bolts 8 1/4"x20 wing nuts 16 1/4"x20 flat washers For camera mounting 2 1/4"x20 3/4" long bolt 2 1/4"x20 flat washers To hold pages flat 2 12"x12" glass / plexiglass / acrylic (note: 12x12 is a perfect fit size, but it doesn't need to be exact, I was able to find precut sheet 11"x14" at a local hardware store for $4 each)
