Circular Design with Curls

This piece is based on a public domain image that I fell in love with. If an item is in the public domain as this one was, it means that it was created before 1923 and there is no longer a copyright on it. There are many beautiful free images like this available on the web and they are beautiful inspirations for current laser-cut acrylic jewelry designs.

I have modified the image greatly to work with the laser-cutting. There was quite a bit of manipulation to allow for the positive and negative spaces and making the outlines thick enough to withstand the laser cuts without dropping out.

The size of the piece is 2-1/4" round. As delicate and airy as the design is, it is a fairly sturdy piece. In fact, it holds up well in the smaller size of the earrings as well.

\You can order it in your choice of black, red, white, opal or blue acrylic. It has been embellished with clear crystals (which are actually embellishments designed for finger nail art since these are the best size for the acrylic jewelry). It is also available with no embellishment at all. Ask about color availability - if it has to be ordered, it takes between 2-3 weeks to special order.
