Wood bloom

This delicate bloom is cut out of thin wood, with a network of intricate engraved lines adding depth and detail. It is fairly large, but remains visually light and elegant, and can be worn as a brooch ( with a pinback glued to the backside) or as a pendant (strung on a thin cord). We like it best worn as a very feminine pendant on bare skin, or as a brooch worn very close to the neck as if it grew out of your shirt collar.

'Tea' patterned Box Lamp

Derived from Dan's box lamp: http://www.ponoko.com/showroom/madebydan/401 It is designed to be made with 4.5mm Arctic Ice acrylic and 4.75mm Hardboard. This design uses two different patterns over the four panels: one a geometric tessellation inspired by tea-leaves, the other a tessellation of typographical forms from the translation of 'tea' into various scripts. The patterns were scanned from drawings and automatically traced in Illustrator so are unnecessarily complex in terms of paths - if anyone would like to simplify them to reduce the cutting costs, that would be great! The panels slot together and are meant to be held in friction by small hardboard wedges, however in practice I think this system needs more development - or maybe I got the hardboard thickness wrong. There is currently a lot of wastage on the hardboard sheet, so you might want to consider adding any other items you want cut to that one. UPDATE: Dan has updated his version of the lamp to include better wedges and incur less wastage on the hardboard. In fact, hardboard is no longer available in NZ Ponoko and is not in 4.75mm in US Ponoko so I suggest using the 4.75mm MDF in NZ Ponoko.

Box Light with flowers

These files are for the Box Lamp which you can personalize by engraving patterns on to it. It comes with the flowers in the file but you can delete them and add your own pattern. veneer mdf and arctic ice. an architectural influenced wall sconce that can be wired directly to the wall or just plugged in and hung on a nail. this lamp is very nicely proportioned. the wiring is laced through the piece and connects to a compact florescent candelabra socket. when buying 2, the price drops to $95.00 each when buying 3 or more, $85.00 each

Pack Flat light Table - non-perf

This is a table that ships flat and can be used with or without a hang lamp fixture. There are two variations to this table. The perf table(shown) or the non perf. This table is interesting because it activates in two ways: one via the lightbulb color choice of the user and how the user places the table in relation to the wall. The tables generate light patterns on the wall basewd on placement. More images can be found at www.kenjikondostudio.blogspot.com Please note that price does not include light fixture or hardware. Requires (22) 6-32 x 5/8 button or socket head cap screws and (22) 6-32 flat nuts. I prefer button heads, they are lower profile(socket heads shown). Will post a metric equivalent shortly.
