This is the Christmas gift I gave to my girlfriend. Of course I'd had assembled it first. Note the cool dragonfly pattern : ) BTW. If you download .eps fils you'll find out that there're actually two designs in it. I wanted to play with the Ponoko's manufacturing process and put chinese puzzle called tangram into the design too. Boxcase for the puzzle included : )<br></br><img alt="P1060038_showroom_image" src="http://assets2.ponoko.com/design_images/2478/1249/p1060038_showroom_image.jpg" />

'Tea' patterned Box Lamp

Derived from Dan's box lamp:
http://www.ponoko.com/showroom/madebydan/401
It is designed to be made with 4.5mm Arctic Ice acrylic and 4.75mm Hardboard.

This design uses two different patterns over the four panels: one a geometric tessellation inspired by tea-leaves, the other a tessellation of typographical forms from the translation of 'tea' into various scripts.

The patterns were scanned from drawings and automatically traced in Illustrator so are unnecessarily complex in terms of paths - if anyone would like to simplify them to reduce the cutting costs, that would be great!

The panels slot together and are meant to be held in friction by small hardboard wedges, however in practice I think this system needs more development - or maybe I got the hardboard thickness wrong. There is currently a lot of wastage on the hardboard sheet, so you might want to consider adding any other items you want cut to that one.

The cutout design of this floor lamp's base incorporates a classic (albeit oversized) candlestick profile. The lamp has an oblong frosted shade and a small footprint. Although designed to accommodate a simple lamp kit, pillar candles (properly secured) also work well in this lamp.

Easy assembly. Lighting hardware not included (instructions provided).

44.5 inches tall
Base: .39 inch veneer (choice of finish)
Shade: .18 inch Arctic Ice frosted acrylic.<br></br><img alt="Profile_lamp_-_full_showroom_image" src="http://assets1.ponoko.com/design_images/4940/3137/profile_lamp_-_full_showroom_image.jpg" />

The "Franklin" Art Deco Acrylic Lamp

Mixing the styles of Art Deco and Moderne, this lamp makes a wonderful decorative accent. The main source of light is the marquee styled body, and the spires have edges that glow. The lamp looks great from all sides, in fact a pair would make wonderful lit bookends.

The lamp is made of black and clear acrylic, and comes with a 5 foot cord and 7 watt bulb. Dimensions are 11.5 inches high, 7 inches long, and 4.25 inches wide. Each lamp is numbered on the label embedded in its' base.

For The Home: Lighting: Tulip Star

Once upon a time, my wife had a beautiful tulip-shaped light shade made from frosted white glass. Sadly it has been lost to time, but it's been a long-standing goal of mine to replace it for her. Ponoko has made that possible, and she liked it so much, I thought I'd see if anyone else would like one too...

This item consists of a tulip-shaped light shade for a hanging light fitting. The 'blades' of the shade are subtly patterned with stars, distributed to suggest the patterning inside a real tulip. I would recommend using this item with a CF bulb only (incandescent bulbs are likely to give off too much heat).

This item is designed to work with a standard Bayonet light fitting (BC22), as used in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Ireland, France and the Middle East. I can supply this design to work with most other 'normal' light fittings (e.g. E26 (MES) in North America or E27 (ES) in Europe), at no extra cost, if you can supply me the outer diameter of your light fitting (e.g. a BC22 bulb has a Ø22mm base that works with a fitting that has an outer diameter of 28mm). Please note that this shade will not fit onto a light fitting that sits flush with the ceiling (it needs at least a short length of cable to hang from).

Once assembled, this item is 260mm [10.2"] high and 250mm [9.8"] in diameter. This item is supplied in 3mm [0.08"] frosted acrylic plastic. I'd be happy to supply this item in any of the 3mm [0.08"] acrylics available from Ponoko, at no extra cost. For options, see http://www.ponoko.com/make-and-sell/materials

This item comes as a flat-pack kit that can be assembled without any tools in about five minutes. For assembly instructions, see http://tions.net/go.html#r.02.01.01

I can ship this product anywhere that Ponoko can reach, but I'll need to quote you for your specific location. Please contact me for a shipping quote.

Please feel free to contact me before you buy if you have any questions!
