We at Whimsilume are dedicated to high efficiency lighting that is fun and looks great. We think that everyone should enjoy lighting that is more than just a bulb stuck on the ceiling. This is the first in a set of products that will allow people to customize their living environment. Create a lamp to call your own with the Lampshapes kit. By connecting straight lighting elements with hexagonal end pieces, you can design a wide variety of geometric patterns. Hang it from the ceiling to illuminate a favorite chair or desk, or mount it to the wall as a piece of art. Efficient warm LED light looks great everywhere. LEDs shine through the sides of the tinted acrylic to add effect. Power with the included Energy Star compliant UL- and/or ETL-Listed AC power adapter. Kit includes: 12 Straight Lighting Elements in light blue tint acrylic, including LEDs on PCBs 10 Hex Connecting Elements, one with power jack on top, one with power jack on bottom 1 12W UL-Listed AC adapter 40 small covers for open ends of lighting elements 42 large covers for open positions on Hex Connectors 8 Links to connect two lighting elements and make longer straight sections 100 #4 thread-forming screws to permanently connect pieces together. Features/Specifications: Linear light segments (dimensions 1”x10.25”x0.75”H [25mm x 260mm x 19mm], minimum 70 lumens). Hexagonal connector segments (dimensions 1.75” [45mm] across front face, can connect up to 6 linear segments at 60, 120, and 180 degree increments). One hexagonal connector has jack for standard AC adapter in back side, one has jack in front. Electrical connectors hold pieces loosely together so you can configure your design. Self-tapping screws hold pieces firmly together. Hang or mount lamp by tabs on hex segments. Lumen output of 12 segments is at minimum 840 lumens, approximately equivalent to a 60 Watt incandescent light bulb.
