Rocket Light Shade

The rocket shade was developed for a boy's bedroom.

It can be hung from a ceiling pendant and is easily assembled. The angle of the rocket is adjusted by tilting the shade and it can be rotated to provide more light for reading out of the bottom.

Made from durable white polypropylene, it can be used plain or decorated using crayon, felt pens or paint!

We can also supply a suspension kit for $12 that enables it to be used with a ceiling batten light fitting.

PLEASE NOTE: When the light shade is hung from a ceiling use ONLY Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CFL or energy savers) to avoid the excessive heat of incandescent bulbs which which may melt the polypropylene.

I can also supply a desk lamp fitting for $10. The light fitting uses E14 bulbs, incandescent or CFL, available up to 60 watts. The cord has an integrated switch and an Australasian plug.

The light fitting is placed in the centre of the shade and secured to the surface with blu tac so the potentially hot bulb is a safe distance from the shade at all times and the heated air vents out of the open top.

Dimensions
42cm high by 23cm wide (when assembled)
