Summer Haiku

This jewelry literally makes an impression!

inspired by summer tan-lines, summer haiku is a wearable stencil. Just position the stencil words on your skin, spray sunblock on top - and get out on the beach! You'll have a poetic tan in no time at all.

The haiku is a japanese poem on summer by "Issa" (1762-1826), written in Helvetica.

An attractive necklace that looks great in, or out of the sun.

Summer locket necklace

We all have special memories of summer. Wouldn't it be great if you could capture that little something? - a reminder of summer fun: maybe a leaf, a flower, or a picture.

this is a locket that you can clip that special little reminder in. slip it into the wood backing then cover with the clear plastic and screw tight.

The two locket shapes provided are 2 New Zealand summer icons: the Pohutakawa flower (or New Zealand Christmas tree), and a tomato sauce bottle (common to the great kiwi bbq). - they look great even without anything inside.

comes fully assembled with screw and chain.

Daisy chain

What describes summer more than making daisy chains in the sun?

And just like a real daisy chain this is jewelery for a day. Cut from paper or tyvek this design is just for that one special occasion.

Let the paper overlap so each flower is made of three layers, held together by pulling the 'heart' through the other two layers. You decide how long you want your chain...

Rotating Earring

Inspired by the colors and shapes of summer flowers, this earring has two sides. Each side is a different color acrylic and both rotate around a center pivot. This allows the wearer to create different designs with the overlapping laser-cut floral patterns. Available in several different combinations of colored and clear acrylic.

summer cityscape

The summer cityscape necklace is part of a small research project that looks at the different routes a string can take to form a necklace. I designed components that can be stacked and strung on flat cord. Once strung together the buildings form a cityscape. The different thicknesses, colours and transparencies add to the dynamics.
