Kamina Glasses from Gurren Lagann

These glasses are designed to look like those that Kamina wears in the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. They are perfect for cosplay or just to impress your friends.

Currently, there is no frame or strap to hold them to your face. The buyer will need to devise their own way to do this. Only the actual cutout is supplied. Feel free edit it as desired to make your own method work, or just to your taste.

The file here is a cutting template to cut a batch of 15. This is the best value I have found. I recommend doing a group buy to keep the price reasonable. They should be cut from 0.118" thick red tint acrylic in the P3 size.

Mst3shades Ponoko Ready File

This is the Mst3shades: http://bit.ly/Mst3shades
file from creator gianteye: http://bit.ly/Giant_Eye
over on thingverse.com

I just went ahead and got it into a P1 template for any of the 3mm thick materials. This includes all the acrylic colors, hardboard, delrin and one of the bamboo (US hub). The 4mm single layer cardboard more than likely also has enough give to fit together off this file.

Notes: I increased the depth of the screw paths 2mm. I had to adjust the scaling after importing the original .dxf into illustrator and based the size on screw holes and the proper spacing for a 3mm thick material.

Steampunk Couture: Goggle Leather Pattern

This is a ready to print eps file for my CNC steampunk goggles. You can find more details, 3d and 2d cad files, photos, and a full list of materials at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3448

To complete the design you will need the parts list I put up on Thingiverse. This requires 3d prints which can be purchased here http://www.shapeways.com/shops/gianteye

I cut my design out of the Ponoko natural russett leather. I then cleaned off the laser cut edges with rubbing alcohol, dyed the leather, conditioned it with neatsfoot oil, and began to stitch. The leather is fairly hard so you'll want to flex it a good bit with your hands to soften it up before sewing.

Good luck!

Eyepieces for Steampunk Couture Goggles

If you're assembling yourself a pair of Steampunk Couture Goggles, you will need a pair of these to cap things off. I recommend laser cutting them out of the 3mm red tint that ponoko offers.

For more details on the design visit http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3448

The design files for the leather components of these goggles can be found at http://www.ponoko.com/showroom/gianteye/steampunk-couture-goggle-leather-pattern-4567
