wooden Lace wearable art garment

Wooden lace was one of my entries into the world of wearable art competition in 2007. It was a finalist in the Avant-Garde section.
Inspired by the intricate patterns of william morris' tapestries and wallpaper I used the laser-cutter to construct the entire garment. Each panel features an etch of the tapestry and is hand sewn together to make the garment flexible.

This costume was an entry into the world of wearable art competition in 2007.
It is made of 1000 acrylic disks laser-cut and masked and sprayed with bomber motifs. Each disk is stitched in a tessellated pattern to make the garment.
The entire costume weighed almost 10kg.
It is dedicated to the men of bomber command.

Asymmetrical Shadow Scroll Cuff

Art Nouveau was my first fine art love; the graphic quality, the swirling shapes which all compliment one another & the goddess like women being held by nature remind me of my dreams. So I set about finding beautiful art nouveau to tattoo myself in.

This cuff bracelet is a companion piece for the Asymmetrical Shadow Necklace. -Although it looks great with the symmetrical Shadow Necklace also!
It comes in 9 different colors.

Rose Of Sharon Cassidy Pendant with Loop

Make your very own pendant based on the awesome Fallout:New Vegas companion! Engineered to match as closely as possible :)

Dimensions are 1.5" squared. Meant to be manufactured in metal, otherwise the loop is too fragile.

Steampunk Butterfly - Updated

Updated file, thank you so much to Ponoko helpers!

Now - Its thinnest parts measure 1mm, so it should be ok to cut on a range of materials. It is laid out on a P2 template.

This was made for a costume - you can see all the photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/geekphysical/sets/72157629162864775/

We designed the gears with our own homemade gear generator software.

The file includes the final butterfly as well as all the gear parts so you can move it around if you like. We use Corel Draw and then export to our laser cutting program.

Happy SteamPunk Butterfly designing :)
