EKOFLEX Furniture Construction Game (scale 1/5) : Kit B

BECOME A FURNITURE DESIGNER OF THE 21 CENTURY !

The first idea was to develop a modular furniture/shelter construction concept using a small number of CNC flat pack components :

1 - A product easily machinable based on repetition and recycling of a standard basic module (design iterations pre-conceived).
2 - Requirement for maximum flexibility and adaptation of the product according to various scenarios (4 chairs can be recycled for a table or recycled for 2 chairs or bench, recycled for an interior wall ....).
3 - Product cost relatively low for cnc manufacturing with standard materials (wood panels).
4 - Scale 1/1 (real world models only!) The possibility of the dealer/manufacturer to easily adapt the models to customer demand. One screw or four screws hold down/clamp the two boards.

YOU NEED KIT A+B TO START TO CREATE. KIT C WILL COME NEXT WEEK FOR MORE POSSIBILITIES.

To sell it to your customers as a CNC owner , contact me. Commercial contract necessary for Ekoflex furniture range (scale 1/1) : http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/

To learn more about the concept :
- Download 3D models files at Sketchup Warehouse, search "ekoflex".
- See the development design gallery : http://gallery.me.com/pierrearchi#100032

Frontend loader toy 6.4mm P3

Articulated front end loader design with actuating 6-bar bucket tilt mechanism. Assembly requires short lengths of dowel, wood glue, and patience as this is a complex model.

Front end loader scaled for 1/4" (6.4mm) baltic birch plywood. You can try cutting with Ponoko on their 6.4mm MDF but I cannot vouch for the fit. Best bet is to buy the plans and supply your own baltic birch plywood. See my plans for 1/8" (3.2mm) baltic birch if you want a smaller toy. The 1/8" (3.2mm) design results in a roughly 10" long by 4" wide by 5" tall toy. the 1/4" (6.4mm) design results in essentially double that in all dimensions, or 20"x8x"10".

1/8" version requires about 12" of 5/16" poplar dowel (available at Home Depot or similar) and about 16" of 3/16" poplar dowel.

1/4" version requires about 24" of 5/8" poplar dowel (available at Home Depot or similar) and about 32" of 3/8" poplar dowel.<br></br><img alt="Loader_1_showroom_image" src="http://static0.ponoko.com/design_images/images/34911/48486e93-3cd8-327f-b8b5-9023710dc687/loader_1_showroom_image.jpg?1293566966" />
