      <title>MINI Cooper 2007-2012 door 6&quot; speaker adapter ring</title>

      <description>Allows a 6&quot; (up to 7.1&quot; in some cases) speaker to be mounted to a 2007-2012 MINI Cooper in the lower door location.  Some fabrication is involved.  You must cut the plastic grilles off of the stock door panels, and enlarge the hole to fit the speaker basket.  Next, glue two adapter rings together with wood glue (you get four pieces total which makes two adapters, one for the passenger side and one for the driver side).  Make sure to coat with wood sealer.  You may use wood screws or socket head cap screws to hold the speaker in place.  You will need tee nuts on the back side if you're using socket head cap screws.  Use non-hardening modelling clay to fill in the gaps between the bracket and the door panel.  See link below for more details:
