bonsai

This lamp balances a minimal/decorative Asian aesthetic inspired by the subtle art of bonsai; a pared back structure with an intricate motif cut into each panel. 400mm tall 160x160mm square.

Girls Annual (large)

This is a cute retro flying girl's head. She is an artwork to hang on the wall. Sorry, unless you live in Wellington the hanging attachment is not included, but you can buy a little metal screw-in eyelet from any hardware store (they are really easy to use). 58cmx43cm

This item is a table/shelf construction consisting of two separate pieces. The pieces slide into each other to form a small table or shelf, and could be used as two stand-alone shelves, as well. There's lots of ways to configure these two pieces.
Slid together, the object is 52cm wide, 39cm high and 38.5cm deep. The Colour Rimu veneer has a 10mm thickness.

Whiteboard bookcase

This was my first real go at a 3D product with Ponoko. Motivation came from wanting a bookcase that would fit inside that particular nook next to the kitchen. My wife chose the material and I just tried to make it all work :)

Features differing sized shelves for things like large books, vinyl, DVDs, CDs, speakers, medium books, small books, etc.

Sophia

This project is about the celebration of the materials and manufacturing method at hand.

Sophia is a unique bracelet that combines two different materials that play well together. In design, as in life, relationships are important. With that, a focus was given to connecting the materials in a pure way without the need of any outside influence. The acrylic pieces flex enough to be press fit into the MDF then return to their cut shape to hold the bracelet together. Once complete, the acrylic is reminiscent of brilliant gemstones while linking together the sophisticated Sophia to compliment the most elegant wrists.

NOTE: If you would like a particular color of Acrylic, please let me know.
