Here is the first in a series of full-body templates from the Paul Rhoney Guitar Co.. As seen in the picture, the set includes three pieces, one for the main body, another for the neck pocket and pickups with the bridge holes for reference, and a third template for the pickguard. The whole thing fits on one large sheet of 1/4" MDF, and all dimensions are checked and double-checked for accuracy. This will fit an AVRI pickguard, and all other standard appointments for this model of guitar. Now includes centerline and neck pocket etchings. • Neck pocket is 1/64" oversize to account for paint thickness.

Now has centerline and neck pocket reference etchings. • The neck pocket is 1/64" oversized to account for paint thickness.

Classic surf guitar! When it comes to chrome-crazy hot rod axes, there is none mightier than this fierce feline! As with my other templates, you get three pieces; the body with centerline and neck pocket reference, pickguard, and neck pocket with centerline and bridge post holes for reference. But wait! There's more! You get a additional cutouts to add a third middle-position pickup. Way cool! Unlike my other templates this one is not guaranteed to fit any aftermarket pickguards, but of course, you don't care, because it comes with a pickguard template sillybones! • Neck pocket template is 1/64" oversize to account for paint thickness.

Jazzmonster - Acrylic

This template is identical to the other Jazzmonster template available, except that it is in 0.236" thick clear acrylic. The design has been reversed to place the centerlines on the bottom of the template instead of the top.

Please read this description before making your purchase. First of all, I will not claim this template set to be in any way "vintage accurate." I have done my best to re-create this guitar style from a number of resources. My intention is only to sell a template set, that when used with its own pieces, can make a fine guitar body. I have had so many requests for this style it's unbelievable. And it has been a long time coming, but at last it's finally here. It was quite a task to use what was available to me to create this, and I hope that it is appreciated. But it should be said that I am calling this "v1.0" because I will continually update it, whenever I can find ways to make it more faithful to the original. Included is a template for the main body, which is stock except for two useful mods. First, I have added a cavity for a Fender Jazzmaster-style vibrato at the rear. And second, is a small cavity for an angled three-way toggle on the treble-side cutaway horn. There are two pickguard templates provided, one is the standard version (which I do believe to be very close to the real deal, but I make no guarantees) and a modified version. The modified version contains the correct hole placement for the optional three-way toggle, and a famous upper curve, anyone can immediately recognize. Savvy woodworkers should be able to use combinations of the two templates to come up with a wide variety of pickguard styles. Finally, there is my standard-style neck pocket template, with bridge holes for alignment purposes. Also included on that is a "universal" pickup cavity cutout for adding virtually any combination of pickups. I was going to include additional templates for various pickguard cutouts, but it brought the cost up far too much. I figured you all would rather save a few pennies, and you can get those templates from Stewart-MacDonald anyway. • Neck pocket template is 1/64" oversize to account for paint thickness.

Please read this description before making your purchase. This is a very popular new design that lots of companies are starting to copy. I'll be no different and add it here, for you to make one of your own! This template set includes the main body, which is exactly what you would expect for the style, but I've added the cutout for a Jazzmaster-style vibrato, 'cuz you know, every guitar should have one of those! It includes the pickguard template, two small templates for the string-thru-body ferrules (one for 5/16" flanged ferrules, the other for 3/8" flush-fit ferrules), and the neck pocket template which has four holes from the standard bridge for reference, and two larger holes to place any bridge with a 2-7/8" post spacing (Jazzmaster bridge, Mustang bridge, some Tune-O-Matics, etc.). I also added a Jazzmaster pickup rout to the neck pocket template, just because I thought some people might like that. • Neck pocket template is 1/64" oversize to account for paint thickness. • This template is made for any guitar neck with a 25.5" scale Fender Telecaster-style neck heel (i.e., no radius).
