Jazzmonster

Here is the first in a series of full-body templates from the Paul Rhoney Guitar Co.. As seen in the picture, the set includes three pieces, one for the main body, another for the neck pocket and pickups with the bridge holes for reference, and a third template for the pickguard. The whole thing fits on one large sheet of 1/4" MDF, and all dimensions are checked and double-checked for accuracy. This will fit an AVRI pickguard, and all other standard appointments for this model of guitar. Now includes centerline and neck pocket etchings.
• Neck pocket is 1/64" oversize to account for paint thickness.<br></br><img alt="Jazzmonsternewphoto_showroom_image" src="http://static3.ponoko.com/design_images/images/7336/e479e5c5-df30-3d6d-817b-ed5116ba5192/jazzmonsternewphoto_showroom_image.jpg?1260304029" />

Jazzblaster

Here we go again! A popular modification on this American classic by way of Lee Renaldo from Sonic Youth. As seen, the set includes three pieces, the main body, pickguard, and the neck pocket/pickups with bridge holes for reference. Now has centerline and neck pocket reference etchings.
• The neck pocket is 1/64" oversized to account for paint thickness.<br></br><img alt="Jazzblasternewphoto_showroom_image" src="http://static1.ponoko.com/design_images/images/7336/ba5dceba-8292-39bb-a00a-8294879281ab/jazzblasternewphoto_showroom_image.jpg?1260303780" />

Sally v1.0

Please read this description before making your purchase.

First of all, I will not claim this template set to be in any way "vintage accurate." I have done my best to re-create this guitar style from a number of resources. My intention is only to sell a template set, that when used with its own pieces, can make a fine guitar body.

I have had so many requests for this style it's unbelievable. And it has been a long time coming, but at last it's finally here. It was quite a task to use what was available to me to create this, and I hope that it is appreciated. But it should be said that I am calling this "v1.0" because I will continually update it, whenever I can find ways to make it more faithful to the original.

Included is a template for the main body, which is stock except for two useful mods. First, I have added a cavity for a Fender Jazzmaster-style vibrato at the rear. And second, is a small cavity for an angled three-way toggle on the treble-side cutaway horn.

There are two pickguard templates provided, one is the standard version (which I do believe to be very close to the real deal, but I make no guarantees) and a modified version. The modified version contains the correct hole placement for the optional three-way toggle, and a famous upper curve, anyone can immediately recognize. Savvy woodworkers should be able to use combinations of the two templates to come up with a wide variety of pickguard styles.

Finally, there is my standard-style neck pocket template, with bridge holes for alignment purposes. Also included on that is a "universal" pickup cavity cutout for adding virtually any combination of pickups. I was going to include additional templates for various pickguard cutouts, but it brought the cost up far too much. I figured you all would rather save a few pennies, and you can get those templates from Stewart-MacDonald anyway.

Telemonster With T-Heel

Please read this description before making your purchase.

This is a very popular new design that lots of companies are starting to copy. I'll be no different and add it here, for you to make one of your own!

This template set includes the main body, which is exactly what you would expect for the style, but I've added the cutout for a Jazzmaster-style vibrato, 'cuz you know, every guitar should have one of those! It includes the pickguard template, two small templates for the string-thru-body ferrules (one for 5/16" flanged ferrules, the other for 3/8" flush-fit ferrules), and the neck pocket template which has four holes from the standard bridge for reference, and two larger holes to place any bridge with a 2-7/8" post spacing (Jazzmaster bridge, Mustang bridge, some Tune-O-Matics, etc.). I also added a Jazzmaster pickup rout to the neck pocket template, just because I thought some people might like that.

• Neck pocket template is 1/64" oversize to account for paint thickness.

• This template is made for any guitar neck with a 25.5" scale Fender Telecaster-style neck heel (i.e., no radius).<br></br><img alt="Telemonstert01_showroom_image" src="http://static0.ponoko.com/design_images/images/7336/a18e41e4-91a4-3399-9a37-8d8da1678eaf/telemonstert01_showroom_image.jpg?1269331251" />

T-Style

The original solid body electric guitar. A classic that’s been around for over 60 years.

This template set includes the main body template, a neck pocket template, a neck template with matching vintage headstock, and two different pickguard templates. The neck pocket template has additional routs for a P90 neck pickup as well as a “Nashville” style middle Strat pickup. The two different pickguard templates included are set up for either the standard Tele neck pickup or a P90 pickup. The body template also has the rout for a Jazzmaster tremolo, because, well, any guitar is better with a Jazzmaster trem on it!

The body and neck pocket templates include registration holes along the center line. If you use screws to hold the master templates to the wood you’re routing, the holes will help keep everything lined up between templates. They are located so that the holes will be hidden under the pickguard, bridge, and neck.

•Note: If using a Jazzmaster trem, I recommend a Bigsby conversion kit for the bridge, or a roller bridge like the one available from GFS here:

S-Style Hardtail

The most recognizable guitar design in the world, it has been used by millions of guitarists for over half a century.

This set of templates includes a body template, neck pocket template, neck template with vintage 60’s headstock, and pickguard template. It is set up as a hardtail configuration, to be used with a vintage style string through body or top mount bridge. The neck pocket template has a universal rout to fit either a P90, humbucker, or similarly sized pickup in the bridge position.

The body and neck pocket templates include registration holes along the center line. If you use screws to hold the master templates to the wood you’re routing, the holes will help keep everything lined up between templates. They are located so that the holes will be hidden under the pickguard.

•Note: Feel free to message me if you want a variation of this template set with different pickups and a matching pickguard. Strats are a dime a dozen, but endlessly customizable so you can make them your own.<br></br><img alt="S-style01_showroom_image" src="http://static1.ponoko.com/design_images/images/7336/62267b2e-91d5-557a-9d7b-c116776c8f51/s-style01_showroom_image.jpg?1336448430" />

P-Style Bass

The original electric bass, it was arguably Leo Fender's greatest accomplishment into the world of music.

This template set includes a main body template, neck pocket template, and pickguard template. The body template has an additional rout for a J-Bass pickup between the bridge and regular P-Bass pickup. If making a PJ-Bass, I would put the output jack on the side of the body and set up the wiring like a regular J-Bass, with independent volume knobs and a shared tone knob to replace the pickguard mounted output jack.

The body and neck pocket templates include registration holes along the center line. If you use screws to hold the master templates to the wood you’re routing, the holes will help keep everything lined up between templates. They are located so that the holes will be hidden under the pickguard.

•Note: The template has holes located for a standard Fender bridge, or one like this from Gotoh:
http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailpieces/Bass_bridges/Gotoh_Standard_Bass_Bridge.html?actn=100101&xst=3&xsr=412

You can obviously use any bridge you'd like, but the mounting holes might not line up with what is on the template.<br></br><img alt="P-bass01_showroom_image" src="http://static0.ponoko.com/design_images/images/7336/bc8963ed-f273-40b8-4b12-109832194daa/p-bass01_showroom_image.jpg?1336490703" />
