All that is needed for assembly is some carpenters glue and a few hours to allow everything to dry together. Please note that unlike plastic, wood will swell when exposed to damp environments, as this item may go outdoors, applying some varnish, resin and some a few tacks to strengthen the design is heavily advised. Also, you will need to purchase a wooden dowel at your local lumber yard for the perching of the birds with a diameter of 3/16 inches or 5 mm or 0.5 cm. All that is needed for assembly is some carpenters glue and a few hours to allow everything to dry together. Please note that unlike plastic, wood will swell when exposed to damp environments. You will need to purchase a wooden dowels at your local lumber yard with a diameter of 3/16 inches or 5 mm. You will also need to apply a bead of caulking along the top and seams to ensure water doesn't enter when it rains if this is for outdoor use. You should also apply water-proofing paint. Due to the material used (plywood), you shouldn't place this bird house directly into the elements, keep it in a protected area such as under a branch and you should store it in a dry place over the winter season.
