Made from acrylic the pieces are very durable and the assembly is quick and it's entirely up to your imagination. The pieces are connected together by hooks and the chain.

Tolerenced Gear Cube

In theory, this crazy octa-gear cube will actually rotate all eight gears at once. I'm not sure if the .025 inch tolerance is enough to keep the parts from sticking together, but I'll be printing my on model shortly to find out. Otherwise, this is a reflection of total balance. Eight parts moving together in eight different directions. Would be a nice part to show off in an engineering class.
