Moon Rocket Side Table

At work we needed a little table to place our projector. I had the idea to make something with the shape of a rocket, as it is kinda related to what we do in our company. So I designed this table with the objective of having a rocket shape, being nice to the eye, easy to put together (no tools required) but still sturdy and structurally sound in order to place the projector and a small DVD player with no risk of them falling down. In the end it came out better than expected and it could be great for many uses. Like a kid's bedroom side table!

The design was made on Inkscape. It's for CNC routing. My model on the picture was done with Birchwood plywood. So it needed sanding to have the final product pieces assembly easy and I painted it in red. The rocket is 1150 mm high, and the table diameter is approx 430 mm. All pieces can be manufactured in a single plywood sheet as I managed to fit them all on a single CNC routing template P5, which is a standard for Ponoko.
