      <description>This item ships as individual pieces that you stack on wood dowel.  Glue it if you want.  Or not.  You buy the 1/2&quot; wood dowel, found at Home Depot and Lowes and such.  Buy local if you can.

Note: This project does take some time to put together.  However, it is the only way to get the cool slot effect.  

Yes, it is expensive.  Though, it is super-strong.  

Don't need a rack?  Unstack them and have 4 cool cardboard tables.  

I design things to last.       <title>Solid Cardboard Curvy Chair, Seat or Bench</title>

      <description>30 sheets of 15&quot;x31&quot; P3 6.7mm Cardboard make this plan.  Extrude a curvy bench along 6 individual 3/4&quot; wood dowels that you supply.  Glue each cardboard piece together and you will be amazed by how durable this block can be.  Sand it with a finish sander with course grit if you want...

I build these by hand as prototypes and live with them.  You won't believe how well they last.  Even if your cat scratches it, you can &quot;sand&quot; it.  I like to use a random orbit sander and a dust mask, then vacuum.

It's expensive, but trust me, when I make stuff like this in my shop people love the results.

      <title>Single Arm Large Helix Cat Tower</title>

      <description>That's right.  40 P3 sheets of the same shape, with 6 Per Sheet.  Cut from 6.7mm corrugated cardboard.  Dream BIG.  Dream about a swirling ledge of cardboard that inspires both people and cats.

No pole included, each piece has a hole at center for mounting on something with a 1-5/8&quot; outer diameter.  PVC is possibly your best bet, as that's what I use.  

Drop your first piece onto the pole and then add a bit of glue to the top and around the center.  Drop your next piece around the pole, and repeat.  Repeat until you are out of parts.  You'll probably want to go in stages, letting glue dry between them.  Have a good plan for the length of pole and how you want to mount it.  I run mine to the ceiling and support it with blocks having drilled holes.

When I set these on a pole and glue them together, I use a regular angular variation of about 3 degrees, which is easy to eye.  Don't worry, building these is not hard, but keep in mind it becomes a super-strong monolithic block of cardboard when done, and has some weight.  

Enough parts here to make one about 5.5' high.  I model each piece as 7mm to account for some glue, and that's conservative.

      <description>That's right.  Enough 6.7mm thick cardboard pieces to make a 6' high Cardboard Helix.  People worship them.  Cats love them.  I totally suggest you glue these to each other, one at a time, to create a solid monolithic assembly.  

I was making these in my workshop but they take a long time to cut, and I charge about the same in the end, anyway.  So, you can now buy all the parts you need online, from Ponoko.
