This is a set of black plastic pickup rings, a pickguard, and a back cover, meant to go with my Polariscaster template set.

Modeled after a classic offset semihollow design from the 70s, it was only available for a short period of time and has never been reissued. So that means if you want one, you either have to pay a steep price for a vintage example, or build your own! This template set gives you a ton of options for pickup, bridge, and headstock selection. The main template is set up for Wide Range Humbuckers, and has the holes to accommodate either a Jazzmaster/Jaguar or Mustang bridge, or a hardtail Strat bridge with string through holes. To go with a rocking style bridge there is also a rout for a floating tremolo. The template used for chambering the body includes the neck pocket hole, as well as the option for Jazzmaster pickups and a Tune-O-Matic style bridge. There are inserts on the back so you can have either a large chambered area behind the bridge, or a solid block of wood running throughout the body which works with the optional tremolo rout. I also include the routs for a rear access cover, to give you the convenience to access the electronics easily if you want. Also included is another neck pocket template with routs for standard sized humbuckers, a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and matching stop tailpiece. Besides all of the templates for routing out the chambered body, you also get a 25.5" scale neck template with two different headstock designs. There's the classy "swooshed edge" design originally used on this model, as well as a large 70s headstock design for those who like something a little different. The "swooshed edge" design comes with an extra routing template that you can mount on the headstock to use a bowl or round nose router bit with a bearing to rout the radiused edge. Along with all of these templates you get a set of Wide Range Humbucker pickup ring templates, a back access plate template, and a pickguard template made to work with the Wide Range humbuckers. The pickguard should mount with a standard Les Paul pickguard mounting bracket and screws. I also have a set of matching black plastic pickup rings, pickguard, and back plate available in the showroom, should you choose to go that route. •Note: Because this set of templates uses two full sheets of MDF, it costs a lot more to make it than my other sets. Therefore it is priced accordingly, but I still think it is a great value and I hope to see what everyone makes with these templates. :)

Fret Slotting Templates

A set of laser cut guitar (or other stringed instrument) fret slotting templates. They are made to work with StewMac's fret slotting miter box, for easy and accurate fret slotting. http://www.stewmac.com/shopby/product/2230 This set includes five separate templates, with a different scale length on each side. They all feature a centered hole near one end so they can be hung up and stored safely when not in use. The acrylic material makes them very durable, and makes it so the double sided tape used to hold the template to the fretboard doesn't mess up the surface of the template over time. Instead it cleanly removes when you're done cutting the slots. ●Note: If you only need a single template or two, use the "contact designer" button on the right and send me the scales you need and I can quote you a cheaper price for a smaller set. I can also set up templates for custom scale lengths, if what I have available isn't exactly what you need.

J-Style Bass

Another classic bass design, this "Jazzy" offset has been widely used for over 50 years. This template set includes a main body template, neck pocket template, and pickguard template. I also include an alternate part of a pickguard template for a P-Bass pickup in the neck position, along with the corresponding rout built into the neck pocket template. With these you can build either a P-Bass or PJ-Bass with a Jazz Bass body style. The body and neck pocket templates include registration holes along the center line. If you use screws to hold the master templates to the wood you’re routing, the holes will help keep everything lined up between templates. P-Style Bass

The original electric bass, it was arguably Leo Fender's greatest accomplishment into the world of music. This template set includes a main body template, neck pocket template, and pickguard template. The body template has an additional rout for a J-Bass pickup between the bridge and regular P-Bass pickup. If making a PJ-Bass, I would put the output jack on the side of the body and set up the wiring like a regular J-Bass, with independent volume knobs and a shared tone knob to replace the pickguard mounted output jack. The body and neck pocket templates include registration holes along the center line. If you use screws to hold the master templates to the wood you’re routing, the holes will help keep everything lined up between templates.
