<description>Poko.dots. is a cross between a graphic image and a laser cut. I have developed a process of abstracting an image&#8217;s pixels into a pattern of circles that perforate through the material to present an image and texture.

This pair of pendants focused on the theme &#8216;Black Glory&#8217; which plays with presenting symbols through the color of black. The first symbol is an iconic view of New Zealand as we associate ourselves with black, and provide ourselves on it. The second symbol is the Ace of Spades, the card of death which is the highest ranked card in a deck of cards, and is a common propaganda symbol used in the military against opponents.
