Aviron Earrings

French for oar, these sweet little earrings are a little more flourishy than the Remo pair, but made from the same basic shape. The design is laser cut from black acrylic, and hung with handmade sterling silver earwires. They are about 4cm in length, or 1.75 inches. The last photo shows Remo and Aviron Earrings side by side; this listing is for the Aviron pair on the right.

Peacock Earrings

These gents make a statement! Made with black acrylic and handmade sterling silver earwires, the earrings are 6cm or 2.25 inches from the top of the hook to the bottom feather, and 1.5 inches wide. They'd love to go out for a good time!

Epershand Studs

Little bitty black ampersands, for your ears! Laser cut acrylic, stainless steel posts. These posts are attached in at the top swirl of the curl, hanging the same way as the Epershand necklace. They are roughly 15mm long. PS - even though they aren't in the photos, you will get a pair of rubber backs as well :)

Et Flourish Necklace

This is another pretty little version of the Ampersand, and a better representative of it's roots - the Latin word Et. To get technical, the form is actually an "et-ligature" where the e and t are stuck together. This necklace shows my own variation of the Monotype Corsiva ampersand. Laser cut out of black acrylic, the necklace is finished with a great figure 8 sterling chain. Adjustable 16- 18" - if you need more or less, just let me know!

Epershand Earrings

These pair of earrings feature the lovely, curvy epershand pendant on handmade sterling silver hooks. They hang roughly 1.75 inches, including the hook. "Epershand" is the Scots and Scottish English name for ampersand...whereas ampersand is a corruption of the phrase "and per se and", Epershand is a corruption of "et per se and", with the same meaning. West Earrings

This is the second in the series of earring inspired by Victorian wind vanes. Entitled "West," these earrings are made of laser cut black acrylic, and have handmade 22 gauge sterling silver hooks. They hang 2.5 inches or 6 cm in length.

Victorian Shell Necklace

One sweet little necklace with a stylized shell design cut from a drop. It reminds me of Victorian stencils which were gorgeous and ornate. The focal of this necklace is made from laser cut black acrylic, and fits nicely at the base of your throat. Complimented with sterling silver chain, the necklace is adjustable 16-18" in length.

Love Returns Haircomb

This comb features a split tailed swallow holding a stylized olive branch. This comb is purely for decoration and needs good support in the hair. It is 5.5 inches in length total, 2.5" in teeth, and 2.5" wide at the top. It reminds me of a Spanish mantilla and is made of black acrylic. This piece was inspired by Victorian design, which was influenced by their love of the outdoors and nature, and ancient culture. Archaeological events of the time influenced design in interesting ways. In 1873, not even half way through the Victorian period, Heinrich Schliemann found the lost city of Troy, which caused a craze for all designs that were Ancient Greek. The Ancient Greeks associated the swallow in the Goddess Aphrodite (love and beauty). Also in this ancient culture, olive wreaths were worn by brides and of course they symbolize peace.
