Says:
I started to design mechanical components in highschool and went on to take Mechanical Engineering. I started as a Mechanical Technologist and then went on to my degree in Manufacturing. Along the way I took up Industrial design, some electrical design and programing. I've been working for almost 10 years now and have designed parts for boats, lumbermill equipmet, test fixtures, utility equipment (trucks), armoured cars, and bike parts.

Anything I can get my hands on, but Steel is really easy to work with and there are so many options (machining, shearing, welding) so I think I'd have to say that's my favorite.Ponoko experience:

Comments about Cando:
That's me standing beside a small (really small) car I designed for CP rail. I designed the entire frame and body, the whole thing had to be made using only 18 gauge sheet metal and manufactured using a press brake, shear and hand tools. We produced 3 of them and they have been in use for about 3 years now.
