We asked three questions:
Where do your product ideas come from?
Sometimes from friends, most of the time ideas pop into my head and that's all I need.
What and how do you make things?
Most of the courses I took in college were studio courses in the arts, so for example I made rings and necklaces out of silver in a metals studio. Working with your hands to make curves is tough, especially if you want them to be the same. But Ponoko cuts exactly what you design so there's no need to worry about consistency between objects.
What benefits have you gained by using Ponoko?
Once the design is finished and I'm happy I can quickly reproduce as many as I want. So if they sell quickly, I can get more pretty easily.
