Articulated front end loader design with actuating 6-bar bucket tilt mechanism. Assembly requires short lengths of dowel, wood glue, and patience as this is a complex model.
Front end loader scaled for 1/8" (3.2mm) baltic birch plywood. You can try cutting with Ponoko on their 3mm hardboard but I cannot vouch for the fit. Best bet is to buy the plans and supply your own baltic birch plywood. See my plans for 1/4" (6.4mm) baltic birch if you want a smaller toy. The 1/8" (3.2mm) design results in a roughly 10" long by 4" wide by 5" tall toy. the 1/4" (6.4mm) design results in essentially double that in all dimensions, or 20"x8x"10".
1/8" version requires about 12" of 5/16" poplar dowel (available at Home Depot or similar) and about 16" of 3/16" poplar dowel.
1/4" version requires about 24" of 5/8" poplar dowel (available at Home Depot or similar) and about 32" of 3/8" poplar dowel.
