MDF has a thickness tolerance of +/-15% of the material thickness.

Works well when the edges are let into a groove in the adjoining material, as in a drawer bottom fitting into a groove in the drawer side.

Typical uses

Great for cabinet backs, drawer bottoms, cubbie dividers, liners, and more.

Adhesives, joints & fastenings

Takes fasteners well through the face but the edges are too thin to fasten into. Glues with standard woodworking glues, hot melt or construction adhesive, Standard glues will not adhere to the white painted face.
