What is it

A thermoplastic with key features: outstanding clarity, high gloss surface, extensive range of colour, exceptionally hard wearing, weather resistant, easily fabricated.

Design notes

Hard and stiff as plastics go. It is sensitive to stress concentrations sharing a certain fragility with glass. This is most evident if parts are small or thin. Corners with radii can reduce the risk of breaking. It retains detail when laser cut and engraves well.

Typical uses

Point of purchase, signage, furniture, models and display cases, glazing, forming and fabrication.

Environmental info

Non toxic and recyclable in some areas.

Adhesives, joints & fastenings

Can be joined with epoxy, Weldon 3, 16 and 40. Dichloromethane and chloroform. Screw joints should be pre-drilled to avoid splitting.
