MY COMMENTS

After making an Acrylic Makerbot chasis and fully assembling it with all the electronics etc, I found there were a few issues in the files. There was one bit missing and some holes that didn't line up. The other main issue with making in acrylic was that the thickness is 0.5mm less than the Birch that Makerbot Industries use. This resulted in the bolts bottoming out at the end of the t-slot. I have increase the length of these slots and added some radii to hopefully reduce the risk of cracking. I also used rubber washers on the case so I wouldn't over tighten it.

Note that the GPL only requires you to release your modified design files to people you distribute finished products to. If you just use it for yourself, you don't have to release anything to anyone. Then again, it's nice to.
