When I got my iPhone last year I loved having everything important in one place, and the ability to get rid of unnecessary devices, documents and information I kept with me. I would frequently snap photos of class assignments printed on copy paper so I wouldn't have to worry about losing them. The documents normally came out pretty clear, but it was tough to keep still while taking the pictures. I set out to make something that would ensure clean, consistent pictures of documents taken with the iPhone.

Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant!
This thing works as advertised, and is absolutely perfect for a free iPhone app that I use called Evernote. Evernote let's you take a snapshot, and if that snapshot has text in it, the text becomes searchable. I've gotten into the habit of putting about 8 business cards on the bed of the scanner at once, then snapping them with the iPhone. The text comes out crisp, and I can search through the images with Evernote to find the contacts I'm looking for. So much easier than scanning individual cards after a meeting. I also use it to snap handwritten pages from my notebook to create an archive.
iPhone Scanner + Evernote = Awesomeness
Thanks Kyle!
