Lightweight gimbal for GoPro camera, designed for RC multicopter/airplane applications with geared mechanism and robust Savox servos. The gear ratio is designed for use without external potentiometers resulting in a +35/-35 deg compensation on the horizontal and 70 deg (with modified 150% EPA) on the vertical plane. Suspension holes are 45x45mm distance. The picture shows an attached optional Flyduino Nanowii flight controller which can be used for the gimbal only thus can be used as an independent compensated gimbal system. The gimbal construction is made of a single 181x181mm 3mm thick acrylic sheet it costs $12 including laser cutting at ponoko. If made of 3mm plywood the gimbal is even lighter. The acrylic gimbal equipped completely weighs 115gr and 130gr with the flight controller.
