I made this strap for my camera because I was tired of the bright yellow Nikon sign hanging around my neck every time I went out shooting. So now I have this nice dark brown leather strap. It is 40" long and 1/2" wide.
It is made in 3 parts because I could only fit 32" in the laser cutter. I used black 1/4" Double Cap Steel rivets to connect it all together. Search ebay and you'll find them. Super cheap, super easy. Just hit them with a hammer and you are done. The split rings are 5/8" stainless rings from McMaster Carr.
This design does NOT make good use of a P3 sized piece of leather. You could maybe make 10 straps on one P3. Maybe you have friends who need straps or some other designs for leather.
You can make this on the Natural Russet leather in the catalog now. I would recommend requesting pre-dyed Russet leather though. (This is not made on the leather in the Ponoko catalog)
