This fully posable crayfish has moving joints - antennae, eyes, legs, claws, and tail - printed in place. It is inspired by the handmade articulated Japanese sculptures of insects and crustaceans, 'jizai okimono' which were popular in the Meiji era.
This modern interpretation is 3D-printed in white sintered nylon plastic, which is relatively tough and can be painted with acrylic paints.
