Design your own jewelry with Ponoko

This Art Deco inspired design was inspired by a vintage pin that I own. The basic shape is similar to the vintage piece but that's where the similarity ends.

The original design is composed of marcasite on sterling silver and I interpreted this effect as black acrylic intricately covered in clear crystals (which are actually embellishments designed for finger nail art since these are the best size for the acrylic jewelry). Laser cutouts replace dimensional curves. The lightweight acrylic base allows for a larger, bolder statement.

The pendant measures 2-1/4" wide x 1-1/2" tall.
